I Passed My Driving Test!

So I finally did it! I passed my driving test! Third time lucky and I couldn't have been happier!
I absolutely love driving and I cannot WAIT to get a car so I can have as much freedom as I want! Well... as much freedom as I can afford in petrol! And even though I am so happy to have passed, it is very bitter sweet for me as I adored driving lessons and of course my instructor! I actually cried because I passed... because I knew driving lessons would be over and I'd miss them, who does that? Oh yeah.. me.

The buzz I got from passing was amazing! I was completely overwhelmed and as I had failed my previous two tests and knew what it felt like to fail, so passing was such a high!
I can't believe how quick the experience went, the beginning of 2013 started off with my family and friends telling me I need to start learning to drive, but I kept making excuses not to perdure it! Then one evening I made my mum ring up the driving instructor, and I had my first lesson booked two days later. To say I was nervous would be an understatement!
But now it is all over and it went in the flash! (For me anyway.. I'm sure my instructor found it a long, painful experience) hehe.

I did really love my one hour sessions, learning how to do maneuverers, learning about the roads, and even though I made a drama out of everything, I got there in the end! It's strange to think nearly every week of 2013 was spent 1 hour in the car learning to drive, and now it's over! *getting sentimental over here*

But basically, if you're worrying about learning to drive and keep talking yourself out of it, all I can suggest is to just make the first move, pick up the phone and at least book one driving lesson. If you hate it, at least you did it! But don't shy from something you haven't experienced yet! You might be like me and LOVE it, although my instructor claims that she's never met anyone who enjoys it so much. So maybe I'm in the minority...
But I think life is about making the best out of any situation, and making it enjoyable!
Don't sit there with a face like a slapped arse and get annoyed if you do something wrong, I just used to laugh at myself, maybe have a small tantrum and continue!

Let me know your learning to drive experiences! And if you have any concerns about it, drop me a comment and I'll get back to you!
I can't stress how good it feels to know that I have this new found freedom that I wouldn't have had if I didn't start learning to drive!

If you are in the Surrey/Hampshire area and want to start learning to drive - check out who I learnt to drive with by having a look on her website :)

Let me take you down to London city!

Hello my lovelies!
Hope you are all doing well and to anyone living in the UK - specially the South where I am, I hope you are all okay. This storm has caused a lot of chaos so I hope you are all safe!
Luckily for me I have a day off work so I don't have to tackle the train delays and gale force winds!

Last Wednesday myself, Natalie and Shane all took a trip to London for the day! We haven't been to London together for ages and the trip had been well over due, so when I had to come into the city for a meeting, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for us to spend the day in London!

My meeting was mid-day in Soho so I headed there first whilst Natalie and Shane had a costa and made their way over to convent garden. I then met up with them afterwards and our day continued! We made our way to Oxford street and had a look around some of the high street shops, I was on the hunt for a boyfriend coat but no luck! A cheeky Starbucks was needed so we headed over to Selfridges where the best caramel frap greeted me, along with a chocolate cake and a beautiful view of Oxford Street from the top floor.

After our quick refreshment we made our way to Waterloo, where we had a nice stroll past the London eye, across Westminster bridge to Trafalgar square, and then decided to walk down the Mall, where we managed to come across a large crowd of people waiting for Prince William and Katherine to leave Clarence House, and although waiting there for quite a long time, we didn't see them. But we did see Harry... so I was satisfied ;)

Then to end the night, we went back to Covent Garden and had TGIFridays which was just so good!
All in all, it was a great day and I hope to be visiting London a lot more in the future due to exciting opportunities.

The colours and textures in autumn are so flattering and easy to pull off! Being able to team outfits with cute accessories like scarves and gloves just gives a perfect excuse to add accents of colour without being too bold!

Tuesday Catchup

Hello my lovelies!
Hope you are doing well,
I am blogging from bed today as I am very poorly with a horrible bug, so the photograph I used above was taken from a few days ago! I don't think anyone would like to see the state I'm in now, that would just be cruel!

So if you follow me on Twitter, you would've known I had my second driving test last week and I failed yet again! I thought if I were to fail again I'd be really sad, but I surprisingly wasn't! The first time I failed I kept reliving the moment in my head and thinking you bloody idiot. Then this time it was again something really stupid that I failed my test on but instead of loosing sleep over something I couldn't change, I just 'got over it'. But I was disappointed.
I'll keep going until I eventually pass and when that day comes you'll be sure to find out!

I have some potentially exciting stuff happening soon and if it all works out I will be sure to let you know, but I might be working on some really amazing projects soon!
*Fingers crossed*
I know I've been really slacking on my videos/blog lately but I've been crazy busy recently and unfortunately the thing I love doing the most (YouTube and Blogging) has had to come second to my job.

I'm also super excited because my best friends Natalie and Shane are home from Florida so I can't wait to see them again! However as I am ill I don't want to infect them with my germs so I'm holding out for a while - which is like torture! But they had an amazing time away and I'm happy they are home safe and sound!

Thanks for sticking with me!
Please share/comment on my blog as it would mean the world to me!
Thanks again,
Fay

Spain 2013

Hola!
Last week I was lucky enough to jet off to sunny Spain with my best friend Sara!
And I have to say, it was one of the best times of my life! It was the perfect recipe for an amazing trip, I had my best friend, hot weather, pool, beach, great food and drinks! And at the end of the holiday I had met some amazing people. We stayed with Sara's nan, near Alicante, I hadn't met her before as this was my first time visiting her in Spain, but she and her husband made me feel so welcome! It was a home away from home as they say - but this home came with views of mountains, a pool and lots of iced tea!

A friend of Sara's nan, Juan who is one of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, played in a mariachi band with two other members, who were equally just as polite and welcoming as Juan.
We watched them play a lot in the bars and they were amazing!
As Juan is a family friend, he invited us to his sons birthday party.
We were in the middle of no where, surrounded by desert looking land and huge mountains. We were at this tiny house in the sticks and there were so many people there to celebrate Luke's birthday.
And I just had to think to myself how different that moment was to the average, usual day at home I have. Here I was, admiring this beautiful family surrounded by gorgeous landscape, everyone having fun and enjoying each others company. I just kind of thought, that is what life is really about!
Sorry to get all deep on you...
*Slaps myself out of it*

NOW THEN, where was I?
So we went to fiesta's and street parties, the drinks were flowing and a good time was being had by all!
On a few occasions we didn't get back home till 4am which was very hardcore for me who is a hopeless party animal and usually wants my bed, pyjamas and a hot water bottle by 2am.
I was very daring on Alicante beach and decided to.. *whispers* sunbathe topless!
*GASP*
I know, I know - I'm bloody nuts me!
But no I just thought sod it, these people will never see me again so let's just whip them out!
We also went to a club called Tsunami where I decided to tell every single person in there I was English which did open the door for many weird looks to be sent my way. But saying that, lots of people seemed to think I was hilarious, and wanted photographs taken with me, and wanted to add me on FaceBook? Probably out of pity but hey - I enjoy making people laugh and I certainly did that night.
I was the main attraction in Tsunami!
All because I was English... or just a drunk small hyper girl who thinks she's hilarious.

To top off the holiday Sara and I decided to get merry on the plane ride home... again this bought on many pissed off faces to be aimed our way but we were having too much fun to care.
When we did get the 'death stare' we just couldn't help but wave back and crack up laughing!
Singing, laughing and dancing through the night, it just so happens no one was sat with us! As I'm sure they would've asked for their money back for the most disruptive flight they'd ever had.

Then Natalie and Shane met us at the airport at around 02:30am with blankets and hoodies. Sara and I felt like we had walked into a freezer, coming from 30 degrees to about 5 degrees in 3 hours. It was a shock!

Overall, an amazing time was had by all and I really miss it now!
It feels so odd going back to the usual day to day routine and just getting back to normal.
Holiday blues *sigh*
I've been trying to figure out what I want to do with my life more and more and when I know, I will be sure to let you know! It's just getting me down so much that I don't have anything to work for or achieve, I want to succeed in something - but I just don't know what yet!
Thank you for reading and I hoped you liked the pictures!
Take care,
love Fay

Notting Hill Carnival 2013

Another August bank holiday.. another Notting Hill Carnival to attend to!
This is my third year of going and yet again, I had an amazing time!
The smell of BBQ food and fresh corn on the cob greets you round every side street, mixed with the ever so familiar scent of weed which welcomes you to the world of the carnival.
Now the little fashionista in me loves looking at what everyone is wearing! Of course there are crazy outfits in the carnival which stand at 10ft high with huge mechanical animals operated by people, but I'm talking about the ones who are watching the carnival! I love getting inspiration from what everyone is wearing and this year did not let me down! From cute floral headbands to high waisted levi shorts and converses, the outfits were lovely!
My friend Sara and I also got photographed for a fashion blog which was cool too!

Now last year I was 18, I had a little to drink but not much as I wasn't really into it. But this year I was with my best friend Sara and we decided to help us get in the spirit of things, we would have a few drinks! Now if I'm honest, I'm quite a goofy/loud/unpredictable person at the best of times, so it only takes me a few drinks to really 'let loose'. And taking into account my weight and height... 2 drinks is enough for me!

Now I attended the Carnival on the 'adults day', which is Monday and the children's day is on the Sunday. Now, let's just say there was a lot more skin on show then I had seen before... and a lot of 'grinding'... ON ME! Haha!
'Oh what fun it was'
I felt like I was the duck from the film 'click' where it keeps being humped by the dog!

Now it doesn't bother me that much as I was dancing along in the parades and getting involved, and no one does anything bad on purpose or maliciously!
Everyone is drunk/high/loving life and so let's just say, sensible actions go out the window! So if you are thinking of going, just be aware some people can be a bit full on but I had my friends/family there to remove anyone I didn't quite want to be on me :S
It can be slightly intimidating having someone grab you from behind who you don't know, but everyone is just having fun and you are surrounded by so many people nothing bad would happen anyway.
Now I'm not wearing Notting Hill rose tinted glasses, I know dangerous things can happen there so just be very careful - and try and not bring any valuables with you as pick pocketing is very common!

But overall, the day was amazing!
Although being dry humped about 10 X wasn't the highlight (for some people it might) I loved watching everyone having fun and just crazy dancing in the streets! It isn't like anything you've ever been to before and it's definitely an experience that shouldn't be missed! It is what you make it, so go along with a group of mates and just have fun!
Of course if you aren't 18+ then drinking shouldn't be encouraged/allowed and there was swarms of police so don't be naughty! ;)

Love to know if you've been there before and if so let me know what you think of it!
Take care,
Fay

Living My Life!

Left - Playsuit - SheInside, Jacket - Ebay, Bag - Nans
Right - Shirt - New Look, Shorts - Missguided, Jacket - H&M
This is Monty (my dads dog) loving life in the convertible.. this is Sara sleeping in my bed after a long night! She is going to love me for posting this!
I am so excited for it to become autumn/winter...I had to wear snuggly socks in bed the other night as the temperate dropped and I was so EXCITED.

Living my life!

Hello guys! It's been a while since I've posted anything on my blog so I thought I would do a photo based one so I can show you all what I've been up to!
The photographs of my friends and I were all taken when we celebrated my friends birthdays! One of the night's was for my best friend Sara's birthday, and the second night, my friend Nathan's! I love having a boogie and just letting loose on the dance floor ;)
The dress I am wearing in the top photograph is from Zara which I adore and it was only £22.99 which I thought was an absolute bargain! It fits beautifully and the quality is great.
The morning after the night before... I was feeling fresh as a daisy as I'm not a huge drinker, literally 1 glass of wine and I am merry! Sara, Shane and I got a full English breakfast which was OOO so good.
Then on Sunday I did a practise rehearsal shoot for a bathroom company, and if it everything goes to plan, I'll be working with them again to do more videos which is very exciting!

Now then... I am going to Spain in a few days and I am so excited! But I'm not going to lie... I am a bit anxious about leaving the country for the first time without my family! I'm going to have to be a proper 'grownup' and not rely on my parents to do everything for me! I am going with my best friend Sara and we have the best times together, our friendship is amazing. Sara is like a sister to me and being with her is so easy! We laugh uncontrollable when we are together and make the best out of any situation.
We are going to have so much fun!

One time we planned to go out for a 'classy dinner' so we got all dressed up nicely and made a real effort... only to find out no trains were running to where we wanted to go so ended up in McDonalds for our 'classy dinner'. The amount of looks we got was hilarious and Sara and I were just falling about laughing at how funny the situation was!

I love her lots and the fact I am going with her is so exciting :D
I am looking forward to seeing different places and meeting new people and just relaxing.

I'm going to be cheesy and dramatic now but I am really going to miss my friends and family! I know it's only 10 days and I'm going to Spain for a holiday and no where dangerous... but still, I live for the people I love and I crave being around them! But I am sure the 10 days will fly by! I cannot wait to get there and jump in the pool. I love, love, LOVE swimming and I think it all comes down to the fact I was obsessed with the little mermaid when I was younger, and every time I swam as a kid, I would pretend I was Arial. As ya do.

I had a driving lesson today and I was so happy because my friends were there and they came out and saw me drive down the road... I am so lucky to have the friends I do and they make me laugh so much! As I was driving... all I could hear was 'she is so grown up now!' and they were pretending to cry.. they are bonkers! If you are wondering, I think the lesson went well and I can't wait for my lesson next week before my holiday!
I am so excited for the next few weeks I am feeling slightly overwhelmed... I could emotionally combust!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'd love to know what your favourite holiday destination has been... or somewhere you'd love to go!
Thank you for reading,
Fay B
